Raiders honored at banquet Players, parents, coaches and fans recently relived one of the most successful football seasons in Cameron County High School history. Former varsity football coach John Fragale was the guest speaker at the annual Red Raiders Football Awards Banquet, held at the Vets Club in Emporium. This year's Raiders, coached by Tony Defilippi, went 11-2. They had the top-performing de- fense and the second-ranked offense in all of PIAA District 9. Several players received individual awards. Jordan Crane won the Rick Wilk Award as offensive player of the year. Tom Jack was named most improved player. Darrick Mason won the John Simon Award and lineman Shawn Ellenberger won the Tommy Malizia 54 Award. Marcus Mullens was named defensive player of the year. |
