Pat Lewis' team 4-3

Pat Lewis, a long-time coach of the girls' varsity basketball team in Cameron County, now coaches Penn State DuBois.

Penn State DuBois has made a successful debut in women's basketball, putting together a 4-3 record in its inaugural season entering the week.

Former Cameron County High School girls' basketball coach Pat Lewis of Emporium is coaching the Lions. Among the players on this historic squad is Jessica Ellenberger, a 2007 CCHS graduate.

PSU DuBois recently beat PSU Scranton and PSU Fay- ette, while losing to Mercyhurst.

Ellenberger has appeared in six of the Lions' first seven games. She is averaging 8.7 points per game, third-highest on the team, and 7.0 rebounds per game, which is secondhighest.

Penn State DuBois returns to action at home Friday against PSU Schuykill (6 pm), followed by a home game at 1 pm Saturday against PSU Delaware.
