Tax counseling being offered

Free tax counseling and preparation for Pennsylvania taxpayers with low and moderate income, with special emphasis for those 60 and older, will be available from AARP tax counselors in Cameron County.

Service will be provided during Feb. 15, Feb. 29, March 14 and March 28. For personal income tax returns for federal, state, and local taxes, and property/ rent rebates at the Emporium Senior Center.

Those using this free service are asked to bring their Social Security card, a copy of last year's return, all 2007 tax information and booklets received by mail (if you e-filed your 2006 return, you will not receive a booklet from the IRS this year,) bring copies of property tax receipts or rent payments, if you are applying.
