Coudersport girls clinch NTL
Falcons ring in nine from three-point range in 75-24 win

Coudersport's girls rattled off their 19th straight basketball win and clinched a third consecutive Northern Tier League championship Thursday with a 75-24 drubbing of visiting Port Allegany.
As well as the Falcons (20-2) have been playing, they've actually stepped up their performance in three-point shooting as they prepare to embark on a trip to the highly competitive PIAA District 9 playoffs.
Coudy banged nine longrangers Thursday, including four in the first half by Karli Duffee, and brought out an intense defense that forced many of Port Allegany's 33 turnovers.
Kristy Kamper (18), Jessica Wilson (15), Duffee (14) and Kelly McVay (10) led the offense.
On Tuesday, Kamper scored a game-high 29 points lead Coudersport to a 58-36 win over Oswayo Valley (14-7).
Playing its second game in two nights, Coudersport rode a hot start from Kamper, who scored 22 of her 29 in the first half. Kayla Bohn and Wilson each added eight points.
The Falcons beat visiting Bradford (7-12) in a nonleague game Monday night, 86-36. Kamper scored 26 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and had eight steals. Wilson was a strong inside force, with 23 points and 11 rebounds. McVay (12) and Duffee (11) were also in double figures, while Bohn had nine assists.
Last Friday, visiting Cameron County battled Coudersport to a first quarter stalemate, but the Falcons went on a 20-0 scoring run and coasted, 79- 34. Kamper scored 25 points and had nine rebounds. McVay finished with 14 points, six steals and five assists. Bohn also had six steals and dished out six assists.
For the Raiders, Kristin Sestina fought through foul trouble to grab 12 rebounds and score 10 points. Cameron County was stung by 42 turnovers.
The Red Raiders fell to visiting Northern Potter, 53- 44, Wednesday night, despite Sestina's 17 rebounds and five blocks. Bre Dunsmore and Shelby Summers each tallied 10 points for Cameron County, while Whitney Lewis had 10 rebounds.
League standings: Coudersport 12-0, Northern Potter 7-3, Smethport 7-4, Oswayo Valley 6-5, Port Allegany 5-7, Austin 3-7, Cameron County 2-9, Otto-Eldred 2-9. (Some Thursday games not included).
Saturday: Austin at Northern Potter.
Monday: Northern Potter at Coudersport, Austin at Smethport, Cameron County at Oswayo Valley, Otto-Eldred at Port Allegany.
Wednesday: Coudersport at Otto-Eldred, Smethport at Cameron County, Oswayo Valley at Austin, Port Allegany at Northern Potter.
