Cameron County expects to make some noise in next month's PIAA District 9 Class A boys' basketball playoffs and could earn a berth in the 32-team state tournament.
Senior Jordan Crane recently became the seventh player in school history to hit the 1,000-point milestone in career scoring.
With typical humility, he seemed relieved to have the personal spotlight removed.
"Now we, as a team, can get down to business," said Crane, who is bound for St. Bonaventure University in the fall on a baseball scholarship.
The last Cameron County player to break 1,000 points was Shane Goss, who finished his career in 2000 with 1,815. Goss was a teammate of Brandan Housler, the school's all-time leading scorer with 2,084.
