 | | Cameron County's Nelson Haas will be guest speaker at the Kane Creative Art League meeting on Thursday, Feb. 14 at 7pm in the the Friends' Memorial Library. Haas, who lives in Emporium, will speak on 'Cross Hatching in Pen and Ink', an art form he has become well-known in the area for. Haas, a self-taught artist with a penchant for the outdoors, creates a weekly outdoor column/sketch called Mountain Lines. His colored sketch of a bobcat has been chosen for the Pennsylvania Wilds first annual collector's pin. Public is welcome to attend this meeting which will be held in the Al Foreman Room at the library 230 Chase Street in Kane. There is no charge. Local photographer Laurie Garrigan took this photo.
