ARSON REWARD OFFERED
Crime Stoppers offering $2,000 for information

Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is offering a reward up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for three 2006 arson fires in northern Potter County.

State Police from Denton Hill have been investigating the three fires, which are believed to be related.

Between June 13 and June 24, somebody ignited an accelerant to burn a camp on Dodge Hollow Road in Harrison Township. An accelerant was used to burn the camp to the ground.

On June 20, fire set by an arsonist destroyed a seasonal home on Hurlburt Hill Road in Harrison Township (inset). Burglars used an ATV to break into a cabin and a garage. Several items were stolen, and an accelerant used burn the cabin. The blaze also caused major damage to a pole barn and its contents.

On Nov. 30, a fire was set at the Holbert Farm along Rt. 479 in Bingham Township. A suspect went to an abandoned homestead on the farm and used an accelerant to set fire to the house. The blaze caused about $4,000 in damage.

Under the Crime Stoppers program, anyone who provides evidence that leads to the apprehension of the criminals is eligible for the cash reward.
