An organization representing rural health providers honored Congressman John E. Peterson (left) for his advocacy. Peterson, a Republican who's retiring at the end of the year, was presented with the National Rural Health Association Legislative Award. He's shown with NRHA member Ed Pitchford, CEO of Charles Cole Memorial Hospital. NRHA noted that Peterson's work in Congress helped to protect funding for rural health care.
