Furman playing major role at RIT

Coudersport's Danielle Furman is making a name for herself in women's basketball at Rochester Institute of Technology.

A sophomore guard, Furman is third in scoring average at 9.7 points per game. She's second on the team in three-pointers and leads the Tigers in assists. Furman is also third in steals. At .900, she is among the national Division III leaders in free throw percentage.

Danielle, the daughter of Brian and Donna Furman, is a dean's list student at RIT, where she is majoring in graphic media.

Rochester entered the week with an 8-10 record.
