Austin first graders took a virtual field trip to the Indianopolis Zoo recently and took part in a program about penguins called 'Tuxedo Junction.' The class has been studying penguins and each student is conducting research for a report. The students were able to see live footage of king, gentoo, and rockhopper penguins at the zoo. Using video conferencing technology, the students were able to interact with the zookeeper in real time.
