Ski Denton 'TeleFest' on tap

Ski Denton 'TeleFest' will hold its third annual TeleFest, entitled "Ski on the Edge," Saturday and Sunday at that central Potter County resort.

Whereas many events draw attention to the downhill, or alpine, skiing opportunities at Ski Denton, TeleFest is focused on the cross country, or Nordic, style.

The weekend will include free clinics and demonstrations by a vendor, Country Ski & Sport; a slopeside barbecue, sponsored by Appalachian Outdoors; live music on Saturday; and an Uphill/ Downhill Race on Sunday.

Ski Denton is also offering snowmobile tows to the backcountry glades (conditions permitting), a variety of groomed cross-country ski trails and numerous prizes, including season passes.

On-site camping is available and discounted two-day tickets will be offered.

Denton Hill operating hours are 1-9 pm Monday through Thursday; 9-9 Friday and Saturday, and 9-5 on Sunday.

Several discounts, special events and other promotions are on the Ski Denton calendar. Among these are the annual Spring Fling, scheduled March 22-23.
