SENTENCINGS IN POTTER COUNTY COURT A Potter County man was ordered to spend 18 months on probation, pay a $250 fine, and make full restitution on theft charges. David Bedelyon, 53, of Ulysses was sentenced by Judge John Leete. While employed by PennDOT, Bedelyon was accused of stealing welding rods, 80 gallons of diesel fuel and various other vehicle maintenance products from a department stockpile in Genesee Township. Value of the missing items was $1,900. In a separate case, a Ulysses woman was accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) program for 16 months on charges of simple assault and harassment. Judge Leete also ordered 27- year old Teri Mills to pay costs and fees, refrain from using illegal drugs or intoxicating beverages, and perform 25 hours of community service. Charges were filed following a domestic violence incident last August at Mills' home. Edward Green, 68, of Turtle Creek was ordered by Judge Leete to spend 30 days to six months in jail and pay a $750 fine for his second driving under the influence of alcohol conviction. He was arrested last June 16 near Cowley Hill after police received a call tipping them off that Green was driving erratically. Troopers found Green in the driver's seat of his car and took him to Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, where blood tests showed an alcohol level of .11 percent. Potter County District Attorney Dawn Fink was the prosecutor for all three cases. |
