Chocolate lovers have a blast!
More than 200 people attended the annual "Chocolate Lover's Fantasy" fund-raiser for A Way Out. The event generated about $5,000 for Potter County's provider of services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Numerous chocolate delights were available, including a chocolate fountain provided by Carolyn Hathaway and Elaine Woodring of Cuticles n-Curls.
Chocolate contest judges Wendy Gauld of Gauld's Corner Store, Potter County Commissioner Doug Morley and Attorney George Stenhach had the envious task of tasting each entry. Tom Walrath was emcee and auctioneer.
Entertainment was provided by Keystone Express and by The Lipsmackers with help from Little Dude and Johnny Angel. Girl Scouts helped as servers and with clean-up. Leaders of A Way Out express their thanks to all who supported the event.
Winners of the chocolate contest included Sherry Cowburn, Kathy Hummel, Madison and Marlene Smith, Colleen Kibbe, Becky Krellner, Joy Klimek, Walter Baker, Kathy Todero, Costa's Shur- Save and Celeste Hamilton.
Next year's event will be held on Feb. 7 at the Coudersport Consistory.
