Amanda Harris wins essay contest

Cameron County High School sophomore Amanda Harris took first place in a recent Health Careers Week essay contest, sponsored by the Youth Council of the Northcentral Workforce Investment Board.

Second place went to Kaitlyn Buerk of Johnsonburg, while Bre Dunsmore of Cameron County placed third.

The local contest was part of a statewide essay contest on the theme, "Become a Health Care Hero."
