Falcon boys enter state playoffs
      Coudersport puts its undefeated record on the line Friday (7 pm) in a boys' basketball playoff game at St. Marys Public High School. The Falcons, 27-0, meet the Homer Center Wildcats (21-7) in a game that will propel the winner into the "Sweet 16" in the battle for the state Class A championship.

Austin girls start state playoffs today
      It doesn't get any easier for the girls' basketball team from Austin High School. Coach Dick Logue's Panthers enter the state playoffs Saturday (3 pm) as heavy underdogs against PIAA District 7 champion Mount Alvernia. The game will be played at Hempfield High School in Greensburg.

Raiders' basketball season ends at DuBois
      DuBois Central Catholic's boys used a 15-0 fourth-quarter run to eliminate visiting Cameron County in a PIAA District 9 quarterfinal playoff game. DCC won 52-40 to end the Red Raiders' season with an 18-6 record. Cameron County led 38-37 early in the fourth quarter, but hit a cold spell.
