With an enthusiastic cheering section looking on, the undefeated Falcons held off a late charge by the Scotties to earn a berth in Friday night's "Elite Eight" game against Kennedy Catholic, back at Tippin. Friday's winner is one game away from a trip to the big dance -- the state Class A championship game, set for next Friday afternoon at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park. At 29-0, Coudersport is the only undefeated Class A team in the state. Only two Falcon teams -- 1952 and 1964 -- have played in the state championship game; only three have ever made it to the Final Four.
