'LIVING STATIONS OF THE CROSS' Youth members of the St. Eulalia Catholic Church in Coudersport are presenting "Living Stations of the Cross" on Sunday night, March 16, at 7:30. The Easter-themed presentation is open to the public. St. Eulalia Youth Group members will act out the final hours of Jesus Christ as he carried the cross to Calvary. After the hour-long performance, audience members are invited to a reception with refreshments in the Parish Center. The presentation is described as "a prayerful reflection of the suffering of Jesus, made relevant to present-day society." This is achieved by allowing the students to become the players in the presentation, using thought-provoking text against a backdrop of costuming, scenery, contemporary music, and special lighting effects. A free will offering will be collected to support Coudersport Area Ministerium Emergency Fund and the Youth Group. |
