James Moate photo Only chickens were harmed in this structure fire at the Art Shultz property Tuesday in Waldy Run, Shippen Township. Emporium volunteer firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze before the fire spread to the nearby residence, but fire destroyed this chicken coop. Eleven chickens and three chicks were killed in the fire which was caused by a fire stove used to heat the chicken coop.
