Disorderly conduct
An Emporium man has been charged with disorderly conduct after allegedly brandishing a knife in a local business Wednesday.
Police said Matthew "Cash" Grimone, 19, of 36 West 4th Street, had a "butterfly" style knife out in Fox's Pizza Den. That action alarmed others there and he was consequently arrested.
Stolen Ring
An Emporium couple is facing charges related to the theft of a diamond ring.
According to police, James P. Tressler, 18, of 448 East Allegheny Ave. removed a diamond ring from a neighbor's residence. He has been charged with theft by unlawful taking, a misdemeanor.
Apparently Tressler gave the ring to Ashley Heagy, 22 of the same address. She was charged with receiving stolen property, also a misdemeanor.
Hit-and-run
Police in Potter County are looking for the driver of a red Ford who wrecked in Roulette Township and then fled the scene. Police said the vehicle struck a Dominion Gas marker post and a split rail fence on private property.
The vehicle was last seen heading north and police are asking for help in finding it and the driver. Their number: 274-8690.
Charged with DUI
A Genesee man faces charges for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop on Route 449 last week.
Police said Sean Ray Easton, 40, was stopped for speeding at 1 am March 14 in the Village of Genesee. Police determined then that he was drinking and plan to charge him for it.
Cited for driving drunk
An Emporium woman was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and also cited for traffic violations last week on Route 120 in Shippen Township.
According to Emporiumbased state police, Mary M. Carnes, 52, of Elk Fork Road, was pulled over at 1 am March 13. They concluded that she was driving after having consumed an illegal amount of alcohol.
Hit-and-run
A 60-year-old Emporium man has been cited for hit-andrun after he allegedly rammed his vehicle into another.
Police said James Dietzel of Woodland Ave. backed his car into a vehicle owned by Jarred Gleason, 20, of Austin while it was parked on Woodland Ave. Worse yet, was that police said he didn't let Gleason know he had done that.
Illegal entry
A Coudersport man is the victim of a theft that took place sometime in the last six weeks.
Police said someone broke into 82-year-old Lewis Eccher's shed, which is located on his property at 155 Townsline Road. Eccher couldn't find anything missing, but noticed a hinge on the shed had been cut and a padlock removed.
Tools stolen
Another storage shed, this one in Harrison Valley, was illegally entered sometime between March 10 and March 16, police in Coudersport said.
Jesse Chaffee, 76, said someone stole a red tool box from the building. It contained miscellaneous tools valued at approximately $100, police
