Food, shelter funds approved

Cameron County has been awarded $8,000 under the Federal Emergency Food and Shelter Program. A local board will determine how the funds will be distributed.

Qualifying agencies are urged to apply. Past allotments have gone to Cameron County Food Pantry, Catholic Charities, and Northern Tier Community Action Corp. Public or private voluntary agencies interested in applying should contact Ken Straub at Northern Tier, 486-1161, by April 9.
