TOWN MEETING MONDAY
Austin first stop of Potter Commissioners

The Potter County Commissioners will hold a series of evening meetings in communities throughout the county in the coming weeks.

Commissioners Doug Morley, Susan Kefover and Paul Heimel will be at the Austin Area School on Monday, April 7, for the first town meeting, starting at 7 pm. Second meeting will be held at the Coudersport Area High School at 7 pm Tuesday, April 22. Similar meetings will be held in Galeton (May 1), Shinglehouse and Ulysses.

Communication between county officials, community leaders and local citizens is especially important in this era of limited financial resources, the commissioners said in announcing the meeting schedule.

"We need to get a better sense of the needs and the priorities of each of our communities," said Morley, chairman of the board. "The commissioners are in a critical position to interact with regional, state and federal agencies to advocate for local community needs."

Although the meetings are open to all, the commissioners are especially encouraging attendance by residents of the school district where each meeting is being held.
