Seniors clash in all-star game

Shutterbug Paul Burdick snapped this impressive photo during that Alice R. Kozel Foundation All-Star Game last Saturday. That's Coudersport's Blair Heimel scoring two points with authority. The 6'6" Falcon has pleased the crowd with several thunderous two-hand dunks this season.
Outstanding seniors from District 9 schools squared off Saturday night at Penn State DuBois for the ninth annual Alice R. Kozel Foundation All-Star Game.

Behind 17 points from game Most Valuable Player Corey Snyder of East Forest, the White Team nipped the Blue Team, 102-98. Heimel and Cameron County senior Jordan Crane were members of White, while Hau and Coudersport teammate Derek Burdick played for Blue.

The game was a wild, runand gun affair, with threepointers raining on both ends of the floor. Blue fired up 53 three-point attempts, making 18, while White was 10 of 34.

Heimel and Crane played major roles in White's success. Heimel had 12 points, including a trey and a pair of dunks. Crane had a team-high 10 rebounds and led White with four assists while scoring six points.

From left, Cameron County's Jordan Crane, Coudersport's John Hau and Derek Burdick each contributed in Saturday's Kozel All-Star Game. Crane pulled down a team high 10 rebounds, while Hau and Burdick each hit from threepoint range.
Burdick and Hau each contributed to Blue's threepoint assault with one apiece. Burdick added six assists and five rebounds while Hau scored five points.
