Red (hot) Raiders rolling!
Hornung hurls a no-hitter hitter

Garrett Hornung pitched a no-hitter and David Lyon was a one-man wrecking crew with his bat as the redhot Cameron County varsity baseball team rolled to a 15- 0 win at Otto-Eldred Thursday night.

Lyon, a switch-hitting catcher, had four hits, including a home run, and drove in six runs as the Red Raiders improved to 4-0.

Cameron County exploded for 13 runs in the first inning on its way to a 17-7 win over Northern Potter on Tuesday. Darrick Mason triggered the first-inning rally with a three-run homer and an RBI double, as the Raiders sent 18 batters to the plate.

Abram Zoschg and Jordan Garrigan joined the hit parade to back the pitching of Mike Baker and Hornung. Coach Dick Harrier gave his bench plenty of playing time.

The Raiders travel to Oswayo Valley on Monday, followed by a home game with Port Allegany on Wednesday and a trip to Smethport next Friday.
