Pitch, hit and run next weekend

Austin Baseball Association will host a free local round of the national Baseball Pitch, Hit and Run competition on Sunday, April 20, at 2 pm at the Gary Williams Memorial Baseball Fields.

Registration will be from noon until 1:30. Competitors are divided into four age divisions: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14. They have the chance to advance through four levels of competition, including team championships at major league ballparks and the national finals at the 2008 MLB All- Star Game.

Participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and fill out a registration/ waiver form. Additional information is available from Annette Simms at 647-8568.
