Students in grades kindergarten through 12 at Austin School have been saving money to make upgrades to the school's playground by contributing to a PTO program, 'Pennies for the Playground.' Money will be used to add to the playground or to make improvements. Right now, the playground needs mulch. Students pictured adding pennies here are (clockwise) from Team One (preschoolers and kindergarten) Jackson Glover, Parker Glover, Alexia Nichols and Kendra Valenti. Donations can be made to any class' effort by contacting the school at 647-8603.
