Dave Smith from Emporium's Pizza Palace Plus recently took home a bronze metal from the Fastest Pizza-Maker in Europe competition, held in Paris. He was in France as a representative of the United States Pizza Team to show off his awardwinning chicken cajun pizza. The speed competition came as a surprise to him, but Smith more than held his own, finishing 10 seconds off the winning time. Smith also competed recently in Las Vegas, where he placed fourth as the fastest pizza-maker and second in the traditional pizza category. He gave lessons to little people this week in Emporium. He is pictured with Dylan Williams, Ethan Simmons and Gabe Smith.
