HELP NEEDED FOR CLEAN-UP EFFORT

Sylvan Heritage Council is recruiting volunteers to support the April 26 "Clean Up Emporium" campaign.

Emporium Volunteer Fire Department will kick off the event by washing all sidewalks and the roadways starting at 7 am.

Volunteers will gather at the mini-park on Chestnut Street at 8 am to get organized and begin tackling clean-up projects along Fourth Street. Gloves, safety vests and trash bags will be available.

Business windows will be cleaned, the street swept of any remaining debris, and mulch placed around the trees that line the business district. The triangle will be cleaned of debris and entrances to Emporium on Rt. 120 will be mulched and prepared for the planting of flowers later in the spring.
