Violator compact considered Pennsylvania may soon join a program that helps stop poachers and other violators from fleeing to another state after committing crimes. House Bill 2364 calls for Pennsylvania to join the Wildlife Violators Compact. Fish and wildlife departments in participating states would share information about people who commit violations. If a hunter had his or her privileges suspended in another state, it would be up to Pennsylvania to determine if the person could hunt in this state. The compact, started in 1989, has been implemented in 25 states. |
