Pitch, hit, run Sunday

Austin Baseball Association will host a free local round of the national Baseball Pitch, Hit and Run competition on Sunday at 2 pm at the Gary Williams Memorial

Baseball Fields.

Registration will be from noon until 1:30. Competitors are divided into four age divisions: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14. They have the chance to advance through four levels of

competition, including team championships at major league ballparks and the national fi- nals at the 2008 MLB All-Star Game.

Participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and fill out a registration/waiver form. Additional information is available from Annette Simms at 647-8568.

Also on Sunday, Austin Baseball Association players and coaches will visit residents on "Tag Day" to seek donations for youth baseball and softball programs. Proceeds will help to purchase new equipment and with field maintenance. Rain date is May 4. Donations may also be mailed to: Austin Baseball Association, 142 Windy Blvd., Austin PA 16720.
