They qualified during the Pa. Area 5 Meet in Brookville. Also competing at Brookville were Zach Becker, Adam Shaffer, Nick Stuckey, Brian Becker, Chase Kamats and Devin Nellis.

Girls' basketball camp

A summer basketball camp for girls will be held at Cameron County High School June 9 through June 13. It is being organized by Dave Sullivan, head varsity basketball coach at Cameron County.

The camp is open to any girl entering grade five through members of the class of 2009. Separate sessions are planned for grades 5/6, 7/8, and 9 through 12.

Sullivan said the camp will emphasize basketball fundamentals. Skill contests and games will also be held. Cost is $20, with checks made payable to Girls Hoop Club.

Applications are available at the Cameron County High School Office.

Golf outing

Bucktail Lodge Fraternal Order of Police will hold its annual golf outing on Wednesday, June 11, at the St. Marys Country Club.

Cost is $50 for members and $60 for non-members. It covers 18 holes, cart, beverages on course and a dinner buffet. Additional information is available by calling 781-1315 between 8 am and 4 pm.

Donkey basketball game Wednesday

Don't expect much offense when Cameron County High School plays host to a fundraising donkey basketball game on Wednesday starting at 7 pm.

Members of the senior class will take on the juniors in a game being organized by the Yearbook Staff. Although the students have intentions of progressing downcourt and scoring, the donkeys on which they are required to ride often have other ideas. The results can be hilarious.

Advance tickets are available for $5.00 at either school office and at Pizza Palace Plus. Admission is $6.00 at the door.

Baseball clinic Saturday A youth baseball clinic will be held Saturday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at CARP Field. It's sponsored by the Coudersport Service Club and organized by Doug McClintic, head coach of the high school baseball team.

The clinic is open to all boys and girls involved in Tball, baseball and softball programs.

Skills training will be followed by fun competition.
