Gifted 7th grade students helped organize and run 24-Challenge Tournaments at Cameron County's Woodland Elementary School. Melissa Moore headed up the 5th grade, and CJ Markum was in charge of the 6th grade competition. The 24-Challenge involves combining 4 given numbers together to equal 24 - using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and/or division. It was a race of speed and accuracy as teams of 4, 5, or 6 went through piles of cards, trying to for each card to come up with a solution. Shown here are 6th grade winner Spencer Rudolph and 5th grade winner Katie Caldwell. They won pizza parties for their homerooms.
