GKN employees donate to Community Chest
Fund raising goal met Chest

Cameron County Community Chest received a donation of nearly $23,000 from employees and management of GKN Sinter Metals in Emporium.

Employees agreed to support the organization through payroll deductions and management matched the employee contributions. Together, the donation totaled $22,600, representing about 75 percent of the Community Chest's 2008 fund-raising goal.

Treasurer Judd Schager reports that the organization supports a host of community organizations, including Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, Friends of the Library, Emporium Garden Club, American Red Cross, Community Nurses, Cameron County Recreation, Rich Valley Packaging Team and Dickinson Mental Health.

Schager expressed his appreciation to GKN employees, adding that additional donations are welcome.
