Government backed loans available for drought victims

Business owners in Cameron and Potter counties affected by the drought during the past year have until Monday, May 12, to apply for governmentbacked loans.

U.S. Small Business Administration is offering federal economic injury disaster loans up to $1.5 million. Loans are available at a 4 percent interest rate with terms up to 30 years. Amount is determined by size and type of business and its fi- nancial resources.
