Another detour crash
A second crash at an intersection located on a detour in Coudersport has police and borough officials posting additional traffic advisories.
On Wednesday morning, a vehicle operated by Lester Goss, traveling off Dutch Hill Road on Borie Street, went through the Oak Street intersection without stopping and ran into the side of a vehicle being driven on Oak by Jerald Blotza of Bradford.
Neither driver was injured.
Traffic rules changed in that residential area as the result of a detour while the Specialist Mike Franklin Bridge on East Second Street is being replaced.
Flees at 130 mph
A McKean County man was taken into custody after he reached 130 miles per hour on his motorcycle while being chased by police
Joseph Avilez, 34, of Port Allegany fled after state police from Denton Hill tried to pull him over at 5:30 pm Saturday on Rt. 6 in Roulette Township. The pursuit ended at the intersection of Rt. 6 and Rt. 155, east of Port Allegany, when Avilez gave up. He is facing numerous charges.
Bicyclist injured
An Emporium man was hurt last Friday afternoon when his bicycle was hit by a pickup truck on Old West Creek Road.
State police said 58-yearold Michael Palmarchuck was driving his truck past cyclist Michael Fiscus, 58, when a mirror on the pickup struck Fiscus, knocking him from the bike.
Fiscus, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to a hospital for treatment by Emporium Ambulance.
Drivers injured
Both drivers were shaken up in a rear-end collision taking place last Friday afternoon on Route 6, just west of Coudersport Borough line.
State police said the collision occurred when David Burrows of Eldred became distracted and allowed his van to crash into the back of a pickup truck driven by John Wilson of Coudersport.
Both drivers were taken to Charles Cole Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries. Charges of careless driving are being filed against Burrows.
Three charged in fracas
All three Austin men involved in a physical alteraction at a Keating Township residence in Potter County are facing charges in district court.
State police say Gregory Rees, 21; Ronald Stuckey Jr., 35, and Randy Burgett, 47, argued while at Burgett's residence.
The disagreement escalated into a physical altercation, during which all three suffered minor injuries. Rees and Burgett are charged with harassment, while Stuckey is charged with criminal mischief.

Thieves made off with video consoles and related items from a Galeton home sometime late Sunday night or early Monday.
State police from Denton Hill were summoned to the home of Vaughn Kenny on West School Street, after the owner found that an XBox, Playstation Portable, 50 XBox games, an XM radio and a silver watch were all missing.
Value of the stolen items was estimated at $2450.
Public drunkenness
Emporium borough police charged Scott Pelton with public drunkenness after he passed out last Saturday on the lawn of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
Camp burglarized
Investigation continues into a burglary at a camp on Sizer Run Road in Shippen Township. Police say sometime on last Friday, someone entered the camp but didn't steal any items.
Garbage bags tossed
State police say about four garbage bags were tossed in the "Lookout" area on South Mountain Road in Shippen Township last Saturday.
