Corey, Jack headed to Big 30

Colton Corey
Coudersport Area High School's Colton Corey and Cameron County's Tom Jack have been selected to play in the 35th annual Don Raabe Big 30 Football Charities Classic.

They'll suit up for coach Steve Ackerman as a member of the Pennsylvania All-Stars for the Aug. 2 game at Parkway Field in Bradford.

A 6-0, 175-lb. two-way starter, Corey was a steady performer for the Falcons and especially valuable because of his versatility and willingness to change positions. He was a standout defensive back. Offensively, Corey ended up platooning at tight end and also saw some time in the backfield.

The class vice-president was selected to the Big 30 and Allegheny Mountain League all-star teams. He was captain of both the basketball and football teams and received the Leadership Award for football. The son of Rod and Diane Corey of Coudersport, Colton plans to attend Penn State University in the fall.

He looks forward to playing in the Big 30 game, noting, "I've wanted to play in this game since I was 10 years old."

Jack, a 6-3, 250-pounder, anchored the Red Raider offensive line as a tackle while alternating at end and nose tackle on defense.

Tom Jack
He was honored after the 2007 season as Cameron County's Most Improved Player and earned a berth on the Allegheny Mountain League all-star team.

"I'm looking forward to play one last football game with my friends and square off against the best players from the Big 30 area of New York," Jack said.

An honor student, he plans to study environmental science at Clarion University.
