NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER OBSERVED

About 40 people gathered at the courthouse square in Coudersport Thursday afternoon to observe National Day of Prayer. Here, Potter County Commissioner Susan Kefover offers prayer for the county's elected officials and community leaders. The Coudersport Area Ministerial Association sponsored two observances at the county seat, part of a national observance created by an act of Congress in 1952. Ministerium members cited the need for personal repentance and prayer, as well as mobilization of the Christian community to intercede for America's leaders and its families.
