YOUNG SCIENTISTS
Students compete in olympiad

Twelve Woodland Elementary student competed in the Science Olmpiad in Otto-Eldred last week. Students in grades four through six at Woodland Elementary School in Emporium traveled to Otto-Eldred Friday for the Science Olympiad.

Fourth graders Taylor Johnson and Caleb Burnside participated in the naked egg drop. Jon Cook and Keagen Frey earned a third place ribbon in the barge building competition.

Fifth graders Jacey Reickerd and Scott Cokely took third with their rubberband catapult. Maddy Flament and Lakin Aunkst were barely edged out of third place in the cool-it event.

Sixth graders Jennie Fragale and Capri Clark participated in the bridge building. Second place winners in the grab-a-gram competition were Brady Lane and Hunter Prosper.

Fifth and sixth grade science teachers, Teresa Ream and Brian Lovett, accompanied the students to the event.
