Grant to help Cameron LPEC

A state grant for $17,750 will cover continued operations of the Cameron County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LPEC) and the county's Citizens Corps.

Funds will also be used for the Neighborhood Watch crime prevention program being spearheaded by Emporium Police Chief Rufus Jones. Funds come from the Pa. Emergency Management Agency.

Next LPEC meeting will be held at 5 pm on July 9 at Sizerville State Park.
