Birding program planned

A program on birds will be held May 17-18 at Sinnemahoning State Park in Cameron and Potter counties.

The event, which runs from 8 am to 10 pm both days, includes bird-watching on a pontoon, bird mist-netting and banding demonstrations, a look at bald eagles and other species, guided hikes, and pointers on equipment. Workshops will also be held on astronomy and global positioning systems.

Cost is $195, which includes lodging and meals. Deadline to register is May 10.
