Falcons knock Hubbers from undefeated ranks
      Coudersport's girls made a statement in a high school softball game against visiting Smethport Tuesday afternoon. Coach Scott Andrews' Falcons (10-3), who have taken their lumps over the years, outlasted the previously undefeated Smethport Hubbers, 2-1, in a 10-inning nailbiter.

Coudy soccer season opens
      Coudersport Area Soccer Association opens its season on Sunday at Strawberry Field, near Charles Cole Memorial Hospital. At 1 pm, Coudersport Under 19 meets Smethport. That will be followed at 2:30 by Coudersport Under 16 vs. Smethport and, at 3:30, Coudersport Under 14 against Port Allegany.
