On Friday, weather-permitting, Coudersport Blue hosts East Smethport, Roulette has a home game with Coudersport Purple, Shinglehouse travels to Austin and Eldred is at Smethport. Saturday's lone game is the annual Baseball Kickoff Day opener between Coudersport Blue and Coudersport Purple at CARP Field (4 pm). On Tuesday, Austin is at Coudersport Purple, Shinglehouse at Eldred, Coudersport Blue at Port Allegany and East Smethport at Smethport. League play got underway last week with Port Allegany winning a pair. On Tuesday, Camrin Stuckey hit a pair of home runs and pitched a complete game as Port Allegany beat Coudersport Purple, 8-5. Kevin Wolfinger, Vince Marzo and Dillon Wadsworth shared mound duties for Coudersport. On Smethport, Coudersport Blue lost its season opener to Smethport, 3-0. Pitchers Nick Jolley and Tim McCusker held Smethport to six hits, but Blue's bats could do little against hurler Jory Okerlund. |
