Literature of the Alleghenies

P.J. Piccirillo

An award-winning writer will explore the literature that sprung from the area's mountains, waterways and natural resources during a presentation next month in Emporium.

P.J. Piccirillo will present "Neglected Literature of the Alleghenies" at 6 pm Thursday, June 12, at the Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library.

A resident of Brockway, Piccirillo holds a master's degree in creative writing from the University of Southern Maine.

He has authored two novels and numerous other works.

Piccirillo appears as part of the Pa. Humanities Council Commonwealth

Speaker program.

His presentation is free. The program is sponsored by Cameron County Arts and Friends of the Library.
