Charged with drugs
A Port Allegany woman has been charged with possession of a controlled substance last Saturday in Eulalia Township.
Police say Paula Anna Larson, 23, was found with a pill bottle during a physical examination at the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital. She allegedly became irate when a medical staff took away the pills.
She is being charged with possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct.
DUI, Stolen Signs
Borough and state-based police teamed up to catch a man and a juvenile last Sunday in Hebron Township who were allegedly under the influence of alcohol and stole road signs.
Terry Mason Clark, 22, of Roulette, and the 16-year old, of Coudersport, supposedly removed signs, worth about $450, from across Potter County.
Clark is being charged with DUI, theft and receiving stolen property. Meanwhile, allegation against the teenager has been filed with the Potter County Probation Department.
Bad checks
A Genesee grocery store has been the site of bad check writing during the last few months.
A female juvenile allegedly wrote bad checks using another juvenile account in early March at Reed's Market.
Sometime between the end of February and early March a male juvenile passed three bad checks in the amount of $182.12.
Another incident took place in November, where Tammy Dennis, of Genesee, has been accused of writing bad checks in the amount of $131.13.
All three individuals have been charged with summary counts of bad checks.
Meanwhile, police are searching for a man who supposedly helped steal and cash checks from a New York man to Potter County businesses.
Levi Hunt, of Wellsville, N.Y. and an accomplice in early to mid-20s with dark hair, allegedly stole checks from Josey Kemp, of Wellsville, and traded them for currency. They got $300 from Reed's Market and $100 from the State Line One Stop, both in Genesee.
Hunts faces four counts of felony, forgery, criminal conspiracy and a misdemeanor of receiving stolen property.
Vehicle theft
Investigation continues into the theft of a vehicle last Tuesday in Emporium. Police say a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado, owned by Arnold Haynes, of Emporium, was involved in a crash in McKean County.
DUI charges
Police say a Coudersport man faces DUI charges after crashing his vehicle in Eulalia Township on May 1.
Zachary Pucci drove a 1998 Mazda west on Vader Hill Road when his car rotated counterclockwise, veered up an embankment, overturned and struck a utility pole, splitting it into three pieces.
