Emergency responders were summoned last Saturday to a one-vehicle accident near GKN Sinter Metals Plant #1, west of Emporium. John Waid, of Port Allegany, lost control of his car when navigating a curve on Route 120. His car veered into the loading dock area, struck a fence and flipped on its side. Emporium Volunteer Fire Department used a truck to stabilize the car. Cameron County Ambulance crews lifted Waid out. He was taken to the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport.
