Coudersport recognized for channel work Coudersport Borough was honored by the Pa. Dept. of Environmental Protection for its maintenance work on the flood control channel that carries Mill Creek and the Allegheny River through the center of town. The channel was built in the 1950s, in part to address serious flood that occurred in 1942. Borough employees, under the guidance of Public Works Director Lou Karija, performed the maintenance work last summer. Borough Councilmen Gene Neefe and Wayne Hathaway donated time to help with the project. |
