Crackdown on unlicensed dogs Dog law officers are fanning out over Potter County throughout May, on the lookout for unlicensed dogs. Those found in violation of the state's Dog Law are subject to a fine of up to $300 plus court costs. Most common offenses are unlicensed dogs and lack of rabies vaccination, according to a Pa. Agriculture Dept. spokesman. Dogs who are three months or older by Jan. 1 of each year must be licensed. Proof of rabies vaccination is required. Officers are also looking for dogs that are running at large. Additional information on dog licensing requirements is available at the county treasurer's office. |
