Golden anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Easton of Coudersport observed their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.

Edward L. Easton and Caroline Gaberseck were married on May 10, 1958.

Mr. Easton is well-known for his many years of service as a district justice, as well as his role as a sportscaster, program host, and news director at Radio Station WFRM. He continues in his role as radio play-by-play announcer for the Coudersport High School football and basketball teams.

Mrs. Easton, a graduate of Austin Area School, is employed in the magisterial district office at Coudersport.

Ed and Caroline are involved in activities of the St. Eulalia Catholic Church in Coudersport. They enjoy polka parties, visiting with friends and relatives, feeding wildlife, gardening and groundskeeping, and watching sports - especially the football games of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Throughout their lives together, they have helped countless friends and neighbors and they are among Coudersport's most revered citizens.

Ed and Caroline are the parents of three children: John Easton, Annette Easton and the late Timothy Easton.
