Summer arts camp hosted in Emporium

Penn State Cooperative Extension will once again sponsor a two-week Summer Arts Day Camp in Emporium.

It's entitled, "Exploring Careers and Hobbies in the Arts." With financial help from the Pa. Council on the Arts, through the Northern Tier Cultural Alliance, the camp will be open to children ages eight through 14. It will run from 9 am to noon during the weeks of June 16 and June 23.

Local artists and crafters will demonstrate their talents and teach students about a wide variety of media. Cost is $20; some scholarships are available. Information about the camp is being sent home with Cameron County School District students and is available at the Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library or the Cooperative Extension office at the courthouse.
