Ambulance open house Wednesday

Coudersport Volunteer Ambulance Association (CVAA) will hold an open house at the ambulance hall on East Second Street Wednesday from 5 pm to 8 pm.

The public is encouraged to attend. There will be free blood pressure screenings and layperson training. Instruction will be given in CPR from 5:30 to 6:30, followed at 7 by identifying signs of stroke and heart attack and dealing with summertime environmental emergencies. Refreshments will be available.

It coincides with Emergency Medical Services Week (May 18-24).

CVAA is a non-profit volunteer organization that serves the greater Coudersport area with ambulance service at the basic life support level.

Founded in 1974 and incorporated in 1978, CVAA funds its services through donations, annual subscriptions, and insurance billing.
