Oil field accident injuries man A Potter County man is in satisfactory condition at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y., today after an oil drilling accident Wednesday afternoon. Police report that a heavy drill fell on Alan Wackwitz, 23, of Shinglehouse at a work site in Whitesville, N.Y., pinning him against some pipes. He suffered injuries to his chest and one shoulder and was flown by medical helicopter from the accident site to Strong Memorial Hospital. It happened at an oil-drilling site in a field near the intersection of Harrigan Gully Road and Grantier Road. |
